The bus ride should take about 4 hours, but we actually took about 7. We really didn't enjoy being stuck on a bus for that long. :-(
Bye bye, beautiful Monteverde.
About half way there, we stopped at this place called Cafeteria Mi Finca. Our tour guide told us to bring our camera when we get off the bus. Why did we need camera for a rest stop?
Because they have a teeny tiny zoo (with 3 kinds of animal) in the back. First they got parrots. The colorful birds are so pretty.
This guy didn't want to stay with rest of the group. He was enjoying being the center of attention.
"Yeah, look at me! Aren't I pretty? I am a model. I am a star. Take pictures of me...."
Then they have two chicken with crazy hair.
And a couple friendly deer.
So cute!
Back to the little cafeteria to get some drink and snack.
They sell pastry and cake. Dr. P got a cinnamon roll (and a bag of super expensive imported Doritos from USA). The cinnamon roll didn't taste that fresh.
But my hot coffee with milk was excellent.
After the quick stop, back to the torture of a long bus ride. I was so glad I had my iPod with me....
