After Anime Expo, we decided to go to L.A. Live to find a place to eat.

We settled for Trader Vic's. Their Hawaiian menu looked tasty.

We were seated at the tiki lounge.

Valencia Roll ($10.00)
Spicy salmon, shishito pepper, cucumber, avocado, seared ahi tuna

Valencia Roll was just alright. I thought the rice was a bit too sticky. When I eat sushi or rolls with sticky rice like that, it always reminded me of those really horrible sushi platter they sell at Costco.

The "Big Kahuna" Chicken Sandwich ($11.00)
Hoisin-fuji apple marinade, avocado, sesame bun

The "Big Kahuna" Chicken Sandwich was delicious. The Hoisin-fuji apple marinate they used on the chicken was really tasty. The chicken breast was very tender. Super yummy!

Veggie Burger ($11.00)
Wasabi soy citrus marinated vegetables, maui onion marmalade, TV mayo, toasted focaccia

Veggie burger was good, but it was different than how they described it on the menu. We didn't get any wasabi soy citrus marinated vegetables in our burger. And it was served on a sesame bun rather than the toasted focaccia in the description. I like their veggie patty though. The sweet potato fries on the side was good.

The food at Trader Vic's was pretty good. I'd come back again.
