4th of July BBQ

This 4th of July, just as every 4th of July, we went to mother-in-law's house for BBQ with the family.

We took Teddy and Twinkle with us of course.

BBQ time! This year the BBQ food was all cooked by your grilling master, Dr. P.

Let's see what yummy food we had:

Beef Stew Soup

Sister in law Lucine made beef stew soup in a slow cooker. Beef, potatoes, and tomatoes. It was great.

Salad

Cousin Yuson made layered salad with homemade lemon dressing.

Grilled Shrimp

Grilled shrimp was very simple to make. We used shrimp in shell. Place about 5 shrimps on each skewer, and simply seasoned with salt and pepper.

Grilled Salmon

Grilled salmon was seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, lemon juice and olive oil. We also left the tail part unseasoned for the doggies.

Teddy and Twinkle loved their salmon rice gourmet dinner.

Kalbi

My favorite part of the BBQ, kalbi! Dr. P grilled these perfectly. So juicy and yummy.

Dr. P was very happy with the kalbi.

Grilled Corn

Love grilled sweet corn.

Grilled Zucchini

Zucchini with perfect grilled marks. Dr. P was very proud about that.

Kimchi & Rice

And of course we gotta have kimchi and rice with every meal.

Brother and sister in law just came back from their honeymoon in Scotland. They brought back a Scottish Recipes book for me. There are so many things I've never heard of in the book. Suet, treacle, sultanas, rowan berries, rosehip syrup... etc. I doubt if I'll make anything from this book, but I had fun reading it.

Happy 4th of July!
