For my birthday this year, I celebrated with friends with jousting and feasting at Medieval Times.  I saw a similar dinner show at Excalibur in Las Vegas when I was in high school.  I remembered the show was really fun.  20 years later, I would like to experience that again.  haha...

There were 15 of us.  Our show started at 8:15pm.  Dr. P and I arrived around 7pm and hang out with friends in the outdoor courtyard.  We went to the bar to grab drinks.  Man, their drinks were expensive.  Beer was like $7, $18, or $25 with different cups/mugs.  You do get to keep the drink containers as souvenir.  But still, so expensive.  So we opted for wine.  Surprisingly, their wine was a lot more affordable.  A bottle of wine is only $20.  Around 8pm, we went to the lobby area to wait to go inside.  Normally seating is first come first serve.  Since we were a big party, our seat was already arranged.  Nice!

We were seated in the "red" section, and FIRST ROW!  Woohoo~~~~

Our "wench" presented us the menu, which was printed on napkin.

There he was, our red knight!

Tomato Bisque / Garlic Bread

No utensil at Medieval Times.  We had to eat everything with hands.  We were all so hungry.  I finished the Tomato Bisque and Garlic Bread in like minutes.  The tomato soup was really yummy.  Garlic Bread was very good, too.

Since English is my second language, I like to watch movies on DVDs with subtitle.  Medieval accent and words are hard to understand sometime.  I kept on thinking, "I need subtitle!"  haha...

There were six knights in the tournament.  Our long haired knight looked like a winner to me!

Cute horses doing tricks.

We were sitting right under the thrones.  King, princess, and the prince were all up there.

Roasted Chicken / Spare Rib / Herb-Roasted Potato

When our waitress brought the roasted chicken, she told us it was baby dragon that tastes like chicken.  haha so funny.  Sorry I was so hungry and ate a leg already before taking a picture.  The chicken was very moist.  Spare Rib was delicious!  I wanted more.  I wanted a full rack of ribs!!  Herb-Roasted Potato was very yummy, too.

This was the prince.  He really looked like a prince.  He looked like one of those princes from Disney cartoons.

Pastry of the Castle / Coffee

Apple turnover for dessert with hot coffee.  Yum!  Food was surprisingly very good at Medieval Times!

Woodbridge Marlot ($20.00)

This was the $20 Woodbridge Marlot we had.  2 bottles!  I drank most of it because Dr. P had to drive me http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.  According to him, after we got http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com, I passed out on the floor after throwing up in the bathroom.  I woke up the next day and didn't remember how I got to bed.  I think I had a really good time?  haha...

Guess what?  Our red knight won!!!!  I knew it!  That totally made my night!

Too bed we didn't get a group picture with everyone.  We kinda all got lost in the crowd after the show.  Thanks to all my friends who were there celebrating the special day with me.  I had a really good time, and hope you all did, too!  Happy birthday to me!  Woohoo~~~~

Those were the birthday presents I received on that night.  Super super yummy chocolate covered strawberries from Edible Arrangements.  Thank you, Sybil & Andy!!!!

Hand-made candle and a Icing makeup kit.  Thank you, Joanne!

Konad Stamping Nail Art seems like fun.  Will have to try it soon!  Thank you, Sharon!

Also thank you Jen for the red envelope!!  :-)

  9. Ha, fun! I've never been to Medieval Times, but it sounds like something one must do in life. I have to admit, the food sounds better than I expected!

    You should try it once.
It's a lot of fun! My friends were all saying it's a show for kids.
But we all ended up having a blast! Alcohol definitely made it even more fun. haha...
