I had a coupon for 1 free dinner from On The Border.  We've never been to this restaurant even though it's just minutes away from our house.  We decided to give it a try.

Chips & Salsa

They were quite busy on a Sunday night.  The waiter told us their specialty is fajita.  We saw a sign for half off fajita every Monday at the door.  We'll save the fajita for next time when we come back on a Monday.

Lagunitas India Pale Ale (IPA) ($6.00)

Dr. P got excited when he saw IPA on their drink menu.  I didn't like the strong taste of this beer, but Dr. P liked it a lot.

Chicken Tortilla Soup
With Slow-Cooked Pulled Chicken, rice and vegetables. Topped with fresh avocado.

Dr. P ordered a 3 items create your own combo.  For one of the item, he picked Chicken Tortilla Soup.  The soup was quite good.  Lots of chicken and vegetable.

Create Your Own Combo (Three Items) ($11.99)
Chicken Enchilada Suizas / Beef Taco

The other two choices he picked were Chicken Enchilada Suizas and Beef Taco.  The chicken enchilada was delicious.  I didn't have the beef taco.  Dr. P said it was pretty good.

The BIG Bordurrito ($13.99)
Fajita Steak or Chicken, Mexican rice, cheese, black beans, caramelized onions & red peppers, and sour cream sauce. Served with a side salad.

I ordered The Big Bordurrito.  This burrito was seriously BIG.  I ate 1/4 of it was stuffed.  The fajita steak was soooooo tender and full of flavor.  We loved it!  The leftover burrito tasted just as good the next day.

The food at On The Border was pretty good, especially their fajita steak.  I can see why the waiter said fajita is their signature dish.  Maybe we'll return on a Monday for the 50% off fajita night.
