I love Stonefire Grill's Tri Tip BBQ Salad so much. I have been thinking about it ever since I had it. After studying their salad menu, I thought the South of Border Salad with Tri Tip looks good, too.
South of the Border Salad (Small) ($7.99)
Choice of grilled chicken or tri tip with mixed greens, roasted corn, red pepper, avocado, red onion, tomato, red cabbage and pepitas, tossed with tortillas and chili lime vinaigrette and topped with feta cheese
South of the Border Salad had similar ingredients as the the BBQ salad. But instead of jack cheese, this salad comes with my favorite feta cheese, plus avocado!
Chili Lime Vinaigrette
Chili Lime Vinaigrette was more special than the ranch dressing for the BBQ Salad. This salad was delicious, and very filling. Just like last time, one small order lasted 4 meals for me.
I can't decide if I like BBQ Salad better or South of Border Salad better. Both are really good. I think I'll just alternate between these two salads when I go to Stonefire Grill.

Darn! We actually went to Irvine this past weekend.. but because we were just getting fresh bread for grandparents from 85c, got lazy (too hot!) just ate something quick at BCD... I need to save Stonefire Grill's address in my GPS so I know where it is next time I am in the area!! looking yummy!
ReplyDeletehaha I like BCD, too. Their tofu and kalbi is always pretty good.
I think Stonefire has a few locations around LA area. You don't have to come to the Irvine one.
When you do try it, be sure to get the tri tip!

Me, too! But the tri tip really made an already good salad even better!
oOoOooOoh! that chili lime vinaigrette sounds really good. i love anything that is kinda sour-ish. i would rather have vinaigrette than ranch :) ranch is so fattening. i know there's fat free ranch, but what's the point of eating if it doesn't taste good!! 4 meals? that salad for me can only last 1 meal :(

It just tastes watery and kinda funny.
