Sister is moving into a new apartment. We went to IKEA to shop for furniture. I wasn't really hungry. But when I go to IKEA, I just instantly start craving for their meatballs.
Meatballs Kids Meal ($2.49)
Since it was only a snack, I decided to get Meatballs Kids Meal. I tried to order the kids meal once before, but they refused to let me order it because I'm not a kid, and I didn't have a kid with me. This time I had no trouble though. There were 5 meatballs, mashed potatoes, and a small drink in the kids meal. I just love IKEA meatballs.
Midsummer Salad ($3.99)
Sister ordered Midsummer Salad. The salad looked colorful and yummy with all the fruit. But after unwrapping the saran wrap, we noticed the lettuce wasn't fresh. A lot of lettuce had brown spots on it, and it was a bit soggy. We even found a blueberry with mold on it. So most of the salad was left uneaten.
Salad at IKEA is no good. I would stick with the meatballs. I saw other people eating ribs, and wonder how good is IKEA ribs?

OMG that salad is so nasty....
ReplyDeleteThat meatball looks really good.
Did they have meatball meal for adult?
Of course! You get 15 meatballs in the adult entree.
Their ribs are pretty good too. Also, their almond cake is very good. You should try if you haven't yet.
ReplyDeleteI think one of the most successful things IKEA does is to have such cafe in their stores :)
Oh I wanna try both next time! Thanks, Alex.
Uh oh on the salad. You should let them know next time if you ever get something like that. The meatballs look quite nice though! Plus free drink. :) I always like to fill up on the lingonberry drink when I visit.
ReplyDeleteI mixed lingoberry drink with ice tea. It's the best!
I also like IKEA meatballs, extra gravy please, haha. I love the lingonberry jam on the meatballs too but Richard doesn't dig it, he thinks it's wired to mix sweet with salty. I always wanted to grab a bag of meatballs on my way out but never did, and end up thinking "I really should have", lol.
ReplyDeleteTheir medallions are not bad either. Next time I'll try the ribs too!
I have a bag of meatballs in my freezer now.
Those IKEA meatballs are really good for meatball spaghetti.
I add them to Japanese curry sometime, too.
You should get a bag next time. I'm sure a good cook like you will cook up something yummy with those.
that kids drink looks so refreshing!!
ReplyDeleteyucky salad
It sure was refreshing, even though I could finish it in 3 gulps.
Yeah it was a really small cup.
