On Wednesday, we took Aunt and Cousin to Look You Fan Dim for some family style Chinese food.  Aunt said my cousin usually only eats one bowl of rice at http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.  But that night, he ate 3 bowls!

海鮮豆腐羹 Seafood Tofu Soup ($6.50)

We started dinner with my dad's favorite soup, Seafood Tofu Soup.  The portion was much smaller than the one from the set menu.  The waitress said because the set menu was meant for 5~6 people.  So a regular order of soup was meant for 3~4 people?

滋補壯腰健腎羊腩煲 Slow Cooked Tender Lamb's Meat Hot Pot ($9.50)

Slow Cooked Tender Lamb's Meat Hot Pot was just ok.  Somehow I thought it lacked flavor.  But after dipping the lamb in the fermented tofu sauce, it was much better.  there were tofu skin and water chestnut in the stew.  Cousin liked this dish a lot.

水煮牛肉 Beef, Spinach, and Taro Noodle mixed in a Red Szechuan Style Spicy Sauce ($7.50)

The Beef, Spinach, and Taro Noodle mixed in a Red Szechuan Style Spicy Sauce didn't taste Szechuan style at all.  It was more like a Cantonese style of spiciness.  It was quite spicy, with a bit of curry flavor.  It wasn't bad, but definitely not the Szechuan style spicy beef we were expecting.

梅菜扣肉 Tender Pork Loin Simmered with Preserved Vegetable ($7.00)

Tender Pork Loin Simmered with Preserved Vegetable was our favorite dish of the night.  Mom and Aunt are Hakka.  This dish is a famous Hakka dish.  After a few bites, mom and aunt kept on saying it tasted exactly like my grandma's cooking.  The meat was so soft and tender.  I just love the skin and the fat of the pork.  The preserved vebetable was perfect to mix with rice.  I can easily finish 2 bowls of rice just with this dish.

鮑魚菇冬菇扒菜膽 Abalone Style Mushroom, Chinese Mushroom with Mustard Green ($8.50)

Abalone Style Mushroom, Chinese Mushroom with Mustard Green was great since I absolutely love mushrooms.

瑤柱肉鬆蒸茄子 Steamed Eggplant with Dry Scallops and Pork ($7.50)
Steamed Pork Bits, Sprinkled with Dry Scallops, atop Soft Eggplant

We had Steamed Eggplant with Dry Scallops and Pork last time and just love this dish.  Aunt also thought it was delicious.  But cousin refused to eat eggplant so he missed out.

My parents clipped a coupon from Chinese newspaper.  If you are a student and got straight A's, bring in your report card and you get a dish for free!  Well, since I am such a good student, we got a $7.00 dish for free.  Nice!  We really like the food at Look You.  The waitresses were very friendly and quite funny.  I have to take Dr. P here soon!
