[Los Angeles] [Ice Cream] Scoops

Wen lives in OC and only comes up to LA once in a while.  So every time she visits me in LA, we always try to eat as much as we can.  haha....  I know Little J likes ice cream a lot so I wanted to take Wen's family to my favorite ice cream shop, Scoops!

Scoops was BUSY on Saturday night.  Crowds of people just kept on coming in the door.

Thai Tea & Passion Fruit Chocolate Ice Cream ($2.75)

Dr. P and I shared Thai Tea and Passion Fruit Chocolate ice cream.  The Thai Tea ice cream tasted just like Thai iced tea.  Passion Fruit Chocolate tasted just like its name, fruity chocolate.  Dr. P likes the chocolate ice cream a whole lot and ate most of it.  So I wasn't satisfied and wanted more ice cream.

Jasmine Strawberry & Jim Bean Hazelnut Ice Cream ($1.75)

Wen and her hubby shared Jasmine Strawberry and Mango ice cream.  I had a bite of the Jasmine Strawberry, and OMG it was delicious.  We took the same bowl back for a refill, and it was $1 cheaper.  Got Jasmine Strawberry and Jim Bean Hazelnut for our second scoop.  The Jasmine Strawberry gotta be my favorite flavor from Scoops so far.  It had a very fragrant jasmine tea flavor, mixing with sweet strawberry ice cream, it was OMG good.  Jim Bean Hazelnut had a strong whisky flavor and Dr. P likes the more manly ice cream.

Thank you Wen for taking this "caught in action" photo.  haha....  "Give me my ice cream back!"

Unfortunately, Little J didn't really like Scoops that much.  He got Brown Bread Ice Cream.  But he is just 10 and only wants his cookie n' cream ice cream.  Don't expect to find the "traditional" flavor at Scoops.  Maybe when Little J is older, he'll enjoy the more creative flavor of ice cream better.

Tae is really cool. He even bought me a round of beer last time afterward he closed shop. I actually love those lavender ice cream he has out, and of course....brown bread.

I haven't seen the Lavender one yet. I guess I have to go more often. ^^
