想要謝謝同事Claire給了我第一份外燴的工作，週日上班時我請他吃晚餐，Claire愛吃肉，所以我們到了公司附近這家韓國烤肉買外賣，他選了牛小排，我則是選了牛小排加涼麵的套餐，居然套餐還便宜$6，吃的時候覺得蠻好吃，但是越吃越覺得油膩，然後開始有點不舒服，接著這天晚上我們兩個人就一直跑廁所，這家店.... 以後不敢來了啦！

I wanted to thank Claire for giving me my first catering job by treating her to dinner on Sunday.  She likes meat.  So we settled for Korean BBQ.  I found Nam Dae Moon Jip near our office.  The small restaurant was full on a Sunday night so we figured the food must be good.


Panchan

We couldn't leave the office for too long so got our dinner to-go.  4 types of appetizers were included.  Kimchi, fish cake, bean sprout and cole slaw.  Nothing really stood out.  The panchans were just alright.



Kalbi (BBQ Beef Ribs) ($17.99)

Claire ordered kalbi.  She said the BBQ beef ribs were good.  But after dinner, she told me her stomach didn't feel good. 


Soup

It came with some kind of bean sprout soup and white rice. 


Kalbi (BBQ Beef Ribs) + Spicy Cold Noodle Soup Combo ($11.99)

I ordered kalbi and spicy cold noodle soup combo.  It was $6 less than ordering the kalbi alone.  But the portion was almost as much, and I also got the cold noodle?!  It seemed like a much better deal just to get the combo.

The kalbi was good at first.  Very good flavor, a bit sweet, very tender, but had a bit too much fat.  After eating for a while, I thought the kalbi tasted too greasy.  Before I could finish it, my stomach started hurting, just like Claire.   



The spicy cold noodle soup came in two seperate container.  All the ingredients in one, and soup in another.  The noodle was kept cold with ice cube.  The noodle was very chewy, but everything stuck together when it was left in the box.  It was pretty hard to eat.  I guess this dish would be better to eat at the restaurant. 



The soup with slushy ice.  This would be perfect for a hot day.... when your stomach wasn't hurting.  My stomach was feeling upset so I couldn't really eat the cold noodle.  At that point, nothing tasted good to me.  I ended up dumping everything away.  Such a waste.

I am pretty sure it was the kalbi because Claire didn't eat any cold noodle.  We had to go to the restroom couple times thougout the night.  I felt bad.... treating her to dinner and got her diarreah.  I don't think I'll go back to Nam Dae Moon Jip again.
