I haven't been to Johnny Rockets for years!  I used to love going to the one on Melrose Ave after shopping there.  Dr. P was in the mood for burger, and I had a coupon that we got in the mail for buy 1 get 1 free with purchase of 2 drinks.



The two of us was sitting there at the 50's style diner and thinking, "Hmmmm this is how people back in the date used to date."  Burger, shake, and maybe a drive-in movie afterward.  Are there even any drive-in theater now?




Old school jukebox on the table.  Every time I see a jukebox, I want to find the song It's My Party.  I just love that song.  Too bad Johnny Rocket's jukebox didn't have the song.


Strawberry-Banana Shake ($5.29) / Iced Tea ($2.39)

Dr. P wanted a milkshake.  He's so in love with Chick-Fil-A's peach milkshake now.  He asked our waiter if they had peach milkshake.  Nope, they don't.  So he settled for Strawberry-Banana Shake.  It was really creamy and yummy.  I just got a glass of boring iced tea.


#12 Hamburgers ($7.99) / Add Chili ($1.19)
Cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, onion slice, pickle, mayonnaise & our tangy "red red sauce."  On a scale of one to ten, it's a twelve!

Dr. P ordered a #12 Hamburger with Chili.  It's called #12 because it's a 12 out of 10!  haha.... how cute.  Dr. P loved his chili burger.  I had a few bites.  It was a big fat juicy messy burger, and it was very very good.  We also like the fat fries a lot.  It was crispy on the outside, and still soft in the middle.  The best part, it's all you can eat fries!


Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich ($8.29)
Grilled chicken breast, served with fresh lettuce, ripe tomato & mayonnaise on a grilled bun.

I ordered the healthier Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich with a side salad.  The salad was fresh.  The grilled chicken was tender.  The buns were fluffy.  I really enjoyed it.



While we were eating, all of a sudden the volume of the music was turned all the way up. Just as we were thinking "what is going on?", the servers all went up to the front and started dancing! It was so funny and cute. The kids in the restaurants really enjoyed the show, and started laughing, cheering, and clapping hands.



Normally for a buy 1 get 1 free coupon, they always take off the more expensive item from the bill.  But at Johnny Rockets, they actually gave us the more expensive item for free.  That was so nice of them.  We enjoyed the food, the service, and the fun atmosphere.  We saw a sign that they are getting alcohol license.  It'll be a fun place to hang out with friends also.  Will be back soon.
