Dr. P and I were both craving for some BBQ.  We went back to Lucille's Smokehouse for dinner last week.

The restaurant was super busy on a Wednesday night.  We waited for about 20 minutes for a table.

Last time we were there, we saw a dinner for 2 for $32 special on their menu.  We came back for this deal, but found out that they took the special out of their menu already.  They replaced it with dinner special, which is pretty much the same price as their lunch special.

Lucille's Honey Blonde ($5.75)

Dr. P ordered Lucille's Honey Blonde beer.  It was a huge beer.

Biscuit and Apple Butter

Their biscuit and apple butter is the best!  I could just sit there all day eating those biscuits.

Caesar Salad ($1.75)

We added a Caesar Salad with our entree for $1.75.  We really like their Caesar salad dressing.  There was a little tangy taste to it, which made the salad even better.

BBQ Lunch Platter ($14.95) - St. Louis Spare Ribs, Tri-Tip, and Pulled Pork
Choice of Baby Back, or St. Louis spare Ribs or Beef rib and your choice of two of the following pulled pork, beef brisket, tri-tip, hot link, rib tips, one quarter chicken or smoked ham.

Just like last time, we ordered two BBQ Lunch Platter with 6 different items to share.  First plate was St. Louis Spare Ribs, Tri-Tip, and Pulled Pork.  The ribs was delicious!  Tri-Tip was good, but not as tender as last time.  Pulled pork would be delicious inside a sandwich.  For side, we got garlic mashed potatoes.  This was addicting.  I couldn't stop eating it.

BBQ Lunch Platter ($14.95) - Baby Back Ribs, Chicken, and Rib Tips
Choice of Baby Back, or St. Louis spare Ribs or Beef rib and your choice of two of the following pulled pork, beef brisket, tri-tip, hot link, rib tips, one quarter chicken or smoked ham.

Baby Back Ribs wasn't good.  It was too burnt, and that made the ribs bitter and hard.  Chicken was the best!  We love their chicken.  It was juicy, tender, and full of smoky flavor.  Rib Tips was another item I enjoyed.  The meat was soft and tender.  I love the part near the soft cartilage the most.  For side, we got braised kale.  It was just as yummy as last time.

Chris' Bread Pudding ($2.95) with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream ($1.00)
A luscious mixture of sourdough bread, peaches, Southern pecans and sweet custard, baked until golden brown.  Served with warm bourbon sauce.

I didn't want dessert at first, but Dr. P persuaded me.  I was glad he did.  Chris' Bread Pudding was soooooo good!  Gotta have it with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream though.  I love the contrast of hot and cold dessert.  Bread pudding was moist, soft, and sweet.  The bourbon sauce was yummy.  Ice cream tasted http://www.eileenlikestoeat.commade and super creamy.  I love love love love this dessert!

We really like Lucille's.  I wish they'll bring back the dinner for 2 special soon.  They also have a happy hour which we would like to try next time.

  1. Wow, this all looks so delicious. I'm a huge fan of BBQ, so of course all of the meat makes me hungry, but that bread pudding looks even better! Haha, me and my sweet tooth...

That bread pudding was too good.
You gotta try it if you get a chance.
