I was busy working on reports for school and didn't have time to cook dinner.  Dr. P wasn't feeling too well to go out to pick up something.  So he decided to call Main Street Pizza & Cafe and ordered pizza for delivery.  When he hung up the phone and told me the price, I was shocked.  He ordered one large pizza and a dozen buffalo wings.  That cost him nearly $30!  This better be some good pizza!

The Works Pizza ($15.99)
Pepperoni, ham, sausage, salami, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes and olives.

The Works Pizza looked sorta like Costco's pizza, the one with everything on it.  There were pepperoni, ham, sausage, and salami, but there were very little meat, and mostly vegetables on the pizza.  The pizza tasted bland, like they forgot to add pizza sauce on it.  We both thought the pizza wasn't that good.

Buffalo Wings ($6.99)

Buffalo Wings were really good though.  It wasn't the fried and dry kind.  The spicy sauce was yummy.  Chicken wings were soft and tender.  We liked it a lot.

But will we order from Main Street Pizza again?  Probably not.  It's just too expensive!

  1. Eileen: Pizza establishments make money on toppings, which is why I usually order just a 1-topping pizza (or a 1/2 and 1/2 which is 1 different topping one each side of the pizza). Main St Pizza charged you $19 for your 18" specialty pizza, plus $7 for the chicken wings, which came to near $30 with tax. An 18" cheese pizza would have only cost $12 (and $2 for an additional topping), which means that they make $5-7 extra-per-pizza by just putting on a few skimpy toppings.

Such a rip off! Costco has the same pizza for under $10!
