When we finally got to Balboa Island, I was tired, thirsty, and hungry.  There were a lot of restaurants on Marina Ave.  Wen's coworker Nicole grew up around the area, and recommended Wilma's Patio when she heard that we were going to Balboa Island.

We parked our bicycles outside.  We didn't lock our bicycles, and I even left my jacket and helmet in the bicycle basket.  That's one thing I like about Orange County.  We don't have to worry about our bike getting stolen.

Iced Tea ($2.00) / Beers

Mr. E and Dr. P both got beers as soon as they sat down.  I got a big glass of Iced Tea.  I was so thirsty!

Spanish Omelette ($13.25)
Three large eggs.  Shredded beef, diced green chilies & Jack cheese topped with Spanish sauce.

It was around 1pm, but they still offered breakfast.  Dr. P ordered Spanish Omelette.  When the waitress brought the omelette to our table, Michelle said it looked like Chinese sweet and sour sauce on top of the Omelette.  haha....  The Omelette was stuffed with shredded beef, green chilies and Jack cheese.  It was rich and tasty.  We liked the hash brown, too.

Wheat Toast

The Omelette also came with wheat toast.  The toast was a bit too burnt and dried though.

Cobb Salad ($14.95)
Salad greens crowned with Turkey breast, Bacon, Jack cheese, Bleu cheese crumbles, avocado, black olives, and hard boiled egg.

I ordered Cobb Salad with Ranch Dressing.  It was a really big plate of salad.  Turkey breast, bacon, avocado, black olives....

Hard boiled egg, bleu cheese, and Jack cheese... on top of salad green.  It was a very good Cobb Salad.

Light Breakfast ($4.95)
One large egg cooked any style, choice of Bacon, Ham, or Link Sausage, and buttered toast or cornbread & honey.

The rest were ordered by our friends.  Enjoy the pictures!

Pancake Combination ($5.95) (Kid's Menu)
Four dollar size pancakes, one egg cooked any style with your choice of Bacon, Ham, or Sausage.

Little J finished the whole plate!  Little boy is growing up fast.

Philly Steak Sandwich ($13.25)
Thinly sliced steak grilled with bell pepper, onion, and Jack cheese on a French roll.

Mr. E and Zoe split a Philly Steak Sandwich because it was huge.  Our waitress split the sandwich in two plates for them.  1/2 sandwich was still too much for Zoe.  No wonder she's only half my size.  >_<

Cod Fish & Chips ($13.50)
Made to order and served with tartar sauce, cottage fries, and coleslaw.

We always say Jack is like a little boy.  He ordered like a little boy, too.  He actually tried to order from the kid's menu.  haha....  But the waitress caught him.  Cod Fish & Chips looked good.  I tried a piece of cottage fries, and it was yummy.

The Feast ($7.75) - Dinner Salad
One half sandwich of your choice served with cup of soup du jour, or dinner salad.

Dinner Salad from the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 salad combo.

Roast Beef Sandwich

The other half of the combo, Roast Beef Sandwich.

Balboa Belly Bombers Italian Scramble ($13.75)
Mini-boule (round French bread) hollowed out, stuffed with your choice of scrambled egg mixture, or you can build your own Bomber.  Served with hash browns or fresh fruit.

Balboa Belly Bombers looked really good.  We actually thought about ordering this when we read it on the menu.

Our waitress split the bill for us.  We really like the food here.  Service was fast and friendly.  The restaurant was cute and cozy.  If we come back to Balboa Island, will definitely come back for breakfast again.

  1. So much good food! Your cobb salad and Jack's cod fish and chips look the most appealing to me. I think I would have not finished that half of a philly steak sandwich either! It looks GIGANTIC!

Portion is really big at this place. Food was delicious!
