Ravioli with Marinara Sauce

Today was Dr. P's first day at his new job.  I woke up early to pack lunch for him.  How nice of me!  haha....

I made ravioli wih marinara sauce and green beans with toasted almond.  It only took me about 15 minutes to make it.

I bought all the ingredients from Fresh & Easy.  The ravioli I bought was spinach and ricotta cheese.  I really like their ravioli.  It tasted fresh, and it was only $2.99.  Here was what I did:

(1) Cook ravioli in boiling water for about 8~10 minutes.
(2) While the pasta is cooking, cook frozen green beans in microwave for about 4 minutes.
(3) Toast almond slices on a frying pan for a few minutes.
(4) Heat the marinara sauce in a small sauce pan.
(5) Add ravioli to the marinara sauce and mix.
(6) Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top of ravioli.
(7) Mix green beans and toasted almond.

Cost:
Sliced Almond  $2.49  (used 2 tablespoon ~ $0.20)
Ravioli  $2.99
Green beans  $0.89  (used 1/3 bag ~ $0.30)
Parmesan Cheese  $1.99  (used 1/4 cup ~ $0.50)
Marinara sauce  $2.99 - pantry item  (used 1/3 jar ~ $1.00)

Total  $2.50 per serving

I made a plate for myself, too.  This was so easy to make.  Well, I didn't exactly "make" anything.  The ravioli was pre-made.  Marinara sauce was pre-made.  I pretty much just put everything together.  That's all.  It was good though.  Also cheap and easy.

Then I went to school.  Dr. P texted me after his lunch and said it was delicious.  ^^
