I have been craving for Boiling Point for quite a while.  Just couldn't get enough of that pot of stinky tofu soup!  Dr. P wasn't such a big fan of stinky tofu.  So after begging him to go for weeks, he finally agreed.


草莓冰沙 Strawberry Slushy ($3.50)

Our waitress was such a sweet girl!  She told me she is a reader of my blog.  I was actually kinda shy when she told me that.  Initially we ordered mango slushy.  But she brought us a strawberry slushy.  I thought maybe she reads my blog, and knows that I LOVE strawberry, so she just thought I ordered a strawberry one.  We didn't mind.  The slushy was yummy.  It was made with real strawberry.

2009 4th of July BBQ

Just like all previous years, we always have a BBQ at Dr. P's mom's house on 4th of July. But this year, Dr. P's brother, Henry, brought his girlfriend http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com for the first time. Since she is a vegetarian, we cooked less meat and more seafood & vegetables this year.



My dad went fishing the day before and he prepared a few for me to bring to the BBQ.  Since the fish was so fresh, it really didn't need any seasoning besides salt and pepper.  We just grilled it and it tasted sweet and delicious.

Dr. P and I went to IKEA in Costa Mesa a few days before our move-in day to do some furniture shopping.  But of course we gotta eat something first.



I always like eating at IKEA.  The dining area is always bright and spacious.

Szechuan Cuisine is Dr. P's favorite Chinese food.  When I ask him what does he feel like eating, 70% of the time he says "spicy Chinese food".  I've seen Hunan Chilli King's sign when I drove by Valley Blvd.  So when Dr. P mentioned that he would like to have some spicy Chinese, I suggested we try this new restaurant.



We went there pretty late, around 9pm.  Not only the restaurant was full, there were tons of people waiting outside.  We went inside to see if there was a waiting list to sign.  But the waitress just told us to go outside and wait in line.

It was all my sister's fault.  She introduced Yogurtland to my mom, and she became addicted.  Then my mom wanted to me take her to Yogurtland, so I got addicted.  Now I am passing on the addiction to Dr. P.  I took him to Yogurtland in Arcaida to try for his first time.

We were really full from lunch, so only got one to share.  Yes, Dr. P said he loves it.  He also said the same thing as I did after I tried it for the first time, "never go back to Pinkberry again".  I love their mochi and red bean topping!

Dr. P and I was hungry for lunch, but I had only one thing in mind.... Yogurtland.  My sister told me about the newly opened Yogurtland in Arcadia.  Since we were planning to go there after lunch, we decided just to dine in the same plaza.  Or more precisely, the next plaza.



We decided on Phoenix Food Boutique because Dr. P has never been there before.  The Arcadia branch isn't big, but it was bright and clean.

I heard one of my old friends was working at Kanpai.  So we went to visit on a Tuesday night.  Lucky me.  I picked the one day my friend was off work so I didn't get to see him.  But that's ok.  We still had a great dinner that night.



I used to go to a restaurant with the same name, Kanpai, in Taiwan all the time.  It's a BBQ beer house.  If you let them take a kissing picture, you get a free beef plate.  Ahhhh memory!  I kissed so many of my friends just for some free beef.
