Continuing our Laguna Beach tour....

Cafe Zinc
350 Ocean Ave
Laguna Beach, CA 92651

Cafe Zinc is a vegetarian cafe/bakery. We visited the market side, and everything inside the display case looked yummy.

We sampled a pasta salad with pesto. It was good, and I wish they would've given us more. I definitely would like to come back here to try their food.

Laguna Beach Historical Society
278 Ocean Ave

Next stop was the LB Historical Society. This is a really old historical cottage. Everything inside the cottage was in its original form. The lady who owned the cottage lived there her entire life. After she passed away, the bank claimed the property. But the bank was nice enough to "loan" it to LB Historical Society for $1/year.

It was quite fascinating walking through and looking at all the antiques. If you are in the area, be sure to pay this little "cottage museum" a visit.

Ocean Ave Restaurant and Brewery

At Ocean Ave, we had optional wine and beer tasting. For $3, we got to try either 3 different beers or 3 different wines.

I had the wine tasting, and Dr. P had beer tasting. Fun time!

Dolce Gelato
247 Broadway St
Laguna Beach, CA 92651

Did you know diary can help you sober up from alcohol? I think they plan out the tour purposely this way. Ice cream right after alcohol so we won't be so buzzed. haha....

Dr. P and I had salted caramel and roasted grape gelato. Both flavors were divinely good. LOVE this place!

Then we hit the beach. What a beautiful day!

This is the statue of the famous Laguna Beach greeter Eiler Larsen. You can read his story here.

Pizza Lounge
397 S Coast Hwy

Dr. P and I sampled the vegetarian pizza at Pizza Lounge. It wasn't outstanding, but was good.

Wyland Galleries
509 S Coast Hwy
Laguna Beach, CA 92651
(949) 376-8000
http://www.wylandgalleries.com

Our last stop was the Wyland Galleries. Dr. P and I visit this galleries quite often, almost every time we are in LB.

That concluded our Flavors of Laguna Tour. But wait.... somehow Dr. P and I still feel slightly hungry. So we went back to La Sirena Grill and tried their calamari burrito. It was pretty awesome!

That was a really fun tour. It's good for both locals and out of town visitors. I learned a lot of the beautiful city of Laguna Beach on this tour. It was both entertaining and educational. Highly recommended!

  1. Have you seen Crescent Bay Park yet? Its on a high cliffside area that can be reached from a street that runs off of Pch. The view is fantastic and you can look down below on the sea and rocks---which usually are filled with barking lounging sea lions.

  2. I wonder if Pizza Lounge is the same as the Pizza Lounge that opened a few months ago on Main St. in Huntington Beach? They have pizza slices, but I wasn't too impressed with mine when I visited there during lunch (if I went back I'd order a whole fresh pizza). Its an upscale bar/restaurant that serves gourmet-style pizza----I'm sure that its popular at night along the many clubs in downtown HB because nothing goes better with alcohol than pizza.

  3. Laguna Beach has a wonderful history----many Hollywood stars in the old days had get-away cottages and beach homes there.
