After our lunch at Elephant Bar, sister wanted to go to Yogurtland.  Even though we already had 2 desserts at lunch, there's always room for the 3rd one, right?

I have never been to Yogurtland before, but have heard my sister talking about how much better and cheaper it is comparing to Pinkberry.  The shop was big, bright, and clean.  It's self served, which I like.  And there were about 16 different flavors to choose from.

After getting the frozen yogurt, we also got to add our own topping.  Then they charge by the weight.

3 big containers of frozen yogurt with topping = $10.  Yes, Yogurtland is much much cheaper than Pinkberry.

This was mine.  I think most people just get 1, 2 or 3 flavors.  But it was my first time there.  Seeing 16 different flavors, how can I just choose 1, 2 or 3?  So I got one bite of ALL the flavors.  My favorite ones were blueberry, root beer, and tiramisu.  I also got bunch of pomegranate and mochi for topping.  Mom was being dorky again, and said, "Pomegranate is so expensive in the supermarket.  Since Yogurtland charge by weight, we should just get a big container of pomegranate seeds to go.  Since the seeds are so light, it'll just be like $1 or $2."  Yeah, only my mom would think of things like that.  haha....

No more Pinkberry for me.  From now one, if I want some frozen yogurt, Yogurtland will be my #1 choice!

  4. YOU mentioned:"But it was my first time there. Seeing 16 different flavors, how can I just choose 1, 2 or 3? So I got one bite of ALL the flavors.
I just wanted to let you know that almost every yogurt store has some sort of small cup to sample every flavor to help you to decide which flavor to buy.

    p.s i am a student at Mt.Sac too.

I saw some kids with the mini cup trying all the flavors.
I wasn't sure if they were trying or just eating free yogurt that way.
I thought it was too much trouble to try that way so I just got a bite of everything.

  6. Well, you might want to tell your Mom to visit Cherry on top. Sometimes in the coupon books for the SGV area there is a big ad for Cherry on top in Monrovia where you buy 10 ounces and then get 10 ounces free. Basically getting frozen yogurt for 19 cents an ounce :).

I notice they are using those new spoons which are biodegradable. I personally like the old spoons better though. Those were clear and could be used multiple times, but this one is a bit weaker.

I like the blueberry too! Haven't seen root beer or the tiramisu flavor before though. They add color to the blueberry which is a bit weird. Blueberry is already so colorful...

I've never heard of Cherry On Top. I'll look it up and try next time.

  9. I've tried this last year. It has a lot of selections and it is really hard to make decision.

I know! It was so hard to choose my first time.
But now I always get root beer float, blueberry tart, and green tea.

  10. Have you tried Nubi at the Focus plaza in San Gabriel? It's the only froyo place I've tried and it seems pretty good.

No, I haven't. But I want to try next time I go there.
