[Los Angeles] [Japanese] Sushi Gen

Sushi Gen

I had an exam this morning and finished it in 30 minutes!  Yes, I studied really hard last night.  Since I came http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com early from class, I took my parents to Sushi Gen for lunch.  Stupid me brought my camera and left the memory card in my computer.  So all the photos were taken with my LG Chocolate.

We got there around 10:45am.  There were only two parties before us.  For some reason, there weren't too many people waiting in line today.  We patiently waited for 30 minutes till the door opened at 11:15am.

Tofu & Sunomono

We all like the tofu a lot.  It was simmered (?) in some really yummy sauce.

Miso Soup

Mom really likes the miso soup.  She said the amount of miso in the soup was perfect.

Salmon Teriyaki ($13.00)

Mom doesn't eat sashimi so she ordered Salmon Teriyaki.  It was a big piece of salmon.  Mom loves it and finished everything on the plate (and a huge bowl of rice, too!).  She also said the potato salad was delicious.

Sashimi ($15.00)

Dad and I both got the sashimi.  Salmon and yellowtail were the melt-in-your-mouth kind of sashimi.  The spicy tuna was really spicy today, and we love it!  This was such a good value for $15.

Parents enjoyed lunch at Sushi Gen a lot.  They already asked "when are we coming back again?"  haha....

  3. Great big portions and good pricing! I like it when restaurants give plenty of food for the price they charge. We like this place too :).

$15 for all that sashimi is definitely a steal.
But I heard their dinner price is quite pricey?
