Another busy surgery day in school, which means a quick bite from Carl's Jr. on campus.  I wasn't sure if Carl's Jr. in school would accept coupons, but brought it anyway.  Turned out that they do.  I went with a classmate and we shared a buy 1 combo get 1 burger for free combo.  Our total came to about $5.50.  Not a bad deal.

Famous Star with Cheese

We got their simplest burger, Famous Star with Cheese.  I like their special sauce with mayo.  This burger has about 700 calories I think.  I felt a little guilty eating unhealthy fast food burger like this.  But this burger kept me feeling really full all day long.

Natural-Cut French Fries

Their fries are pretty good.  I only had maybe 4 or 5, and gave the rest away.  So proud of myself for doing that.  *pat on the back*  haha....

Our group got a female yellow Labrador named Fia this week.  This is sleepy Fia after a shot of Acepromazine.  We heard that Fia might be dropped from the guide dog program because she's too nervous.  She did get nervous and scared quite easily.  But she's such a sweeties.  She would still make a perfect pet.

Another group had a golden lab, which is a mix puppy of Golden Retriever and Labrador.  She has a golden head, but a lab body.  Adorable!

And a tiny little chihuahua girl.  Too cute!

Talking about chihuahua, last week at the emergency hospital where I am working my internship this semester, a chihuahua was hit by a car and came in to the hospital.  He looked perfectly fine on the outside, but he had internal problem and head injury.  He was placed inside a baby incubator and was given Morphine.  I felt like crying when I saw him just laying there, with his eyes half open and in almost like a coma.  I understand his owners love him, and want to save his life, not to mention how expensive the cost will be especially it is an emergency hospital.  But sometimes the owners have to consider the pet's well being.  Are the owners keeping him alive for themselves, or for the dog?  Is the dog in pain and suffering?  Should they keep on trying, or just let him go?  I don't know.  I just feel very sorry for both the owners and the dog because there are lots of difficult decision need to be made.

I really hope this little chihuahua made it.  I am going to work later today, and will find out what happened to him.  *cross finger*

  2. sorry to hear that bad news :(
i have a shiba inu and she is 11 years old.
i'm really afraid one day i have to make those difficult decisions.

by the way, carl jr's famous star with cheese is awesome :) i always order two lol

I hope you'll never have to make hard choices about your dog. ^^
I always get Carl Jr's $6 burgers. Now I actually think their simple famous star is better!

  3. So sad...People love their pets so much that they will do almost anything to save them (even if its not the most humane thing for the animal). I know that I have been guilty of trying to hang on too long to some of my dogs and cats.

Letting go is always the hardest choice.
I had to make that choice twice. I was devastated at the time.
But looking back, I think that was the best choice for my pets so they don't have to suffer anymore.
