I had classes for the entire day yesterday without any break. I ran down to the campus cafe to grab a quick lunch to bring back to the classroom. We have a Starbucks, a school cafeteria, and a Carl's Jr. on campus. The cafeteria has really pricey sandwiches, pricey burritos, and pricey daily special like spaghetti or pizza or fried chicken. So I went to Carl's Jr.
Cranberry, Apple, Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad ($4.99)
I wanted something healthier and picked a salad. Cranberry, Apple, Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad pretty much had everything I like in there. Cranbrry added sweetness, walnut added crunch, apple added both sweetness and crunch, and my favorite cheese, FETA! I really really like this salad!
Maybe if I keep on eating the salad, I will have a body like that?! hahahaha.... (Thanks to Wintervalley for showing me this commercial!)
They also have a Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad with black bean salsa and roasted corn. That sounds pretty good, too. I'm gonna try that salad next time I have to grab lunch on campus.

i like southwest grilled chicken salad but i don't like the corn.

i think the meal is $5.95? it used to be $4 something.
I haven't tried anything from the cafeteria.
I don't like how they just let the food sit on the counter for hours.
Also it's very expensive. Why do school food always so expensive?
Can't they understand students are usually poor?

believe me the food is always good. my favorite restaurant around mtsac.
Okok! Put it on my list.
Hope one day I'll have a longer break to try this restaurant.

mountie grill is at building 19C and is a very small place. close to parking lot D.
Oh ok. I didn't know they have a hamburger place on campus.
