Dr. P's friend got a new surfboard on Saturday and he invited Dr. P over to take a look.  Afterward they invited us to go out for a drink.  We went to a bar in Covina and it was full.  We tried to go to another bar across the street and it was full.  So we settled for BJ's.  Got there around 11pm and it was also full.  Everybody was out drinking or what?



We got our seat after a 10 minutes wait.  So I guess recession means more alcohol sale? 



Beer ($4.95)

Dr. P ordered a beer.  I had no idea what kind of beer is it.  His friend's wife got a raspberry beer that cost $10!  So expensive!


Berry Cider ($5.95)

I got a berry cider.  It tasted like berry soda.  Yum!


Piranha Brewhouse Nachos ($9.25)
Crisp corn tortilla chips over chili made with Piranha Pale Ale and topped with jack and cheddar cheeses, diced tomatoes, green onions, sliced olives and sour cream.  Fire-roasted tomato salsa or sliced jalapeños on request.

We got a Piranha Brewhouse Nachos to share.  Tons of chili under the tortilla chips.  The chili was made with Piranha Pale Ale and it was so good.  Love the melted cheese, too.


BJ's Bacon Cheeseburger Deep Dish Pizza ($14.25)
For the classic burger lover - ground Angus beef, red onions, Applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes and chopped dill pickles drizzled with our signature burger sauce.

Dr. P's friends got the Bacon Cheeseburger Deep Dish Pizza.  We didn't try it.  But it looked great and smelled like cheeseburger.


Triple Chocolate Pizookie Featuring Ghirardelli ($5.95)
A rich chocolate cookie featuring chunks of Ghirardelli chocolate. Topped with two scoops of double chocolate ice cream with Ghirardelli chocolate chips and a Ghiradelli SQUARES dark chocolate.

They also got the Triple Chocolate Pizookie.  I had a bite.  Chocolate ice cream on top of the hot soft chocolate cookie (actually it tasted more like brownie).  It was soooooo yummy!

I like the food at BJ's.  Next time we're coming back to eat!
