After our Vietnamese noodle dinner at Pho Minh, we dug out a buy 1 sundae get 1 free coupon and headed to Baskin Robbins for some dessert.
Jamoca Almond Fudge with Hot Fudge Sundae ($2.99)
Baskin Robbins offers some premium sundae, but those cost about $5 or $6 each. Too expensive! So we both went for the $2.99 create your own sundae. 1 scoop of ice cream, 1 topping, whipped cream, and 1 choice of nuts. Dr. P got Jamoca Almond Fudge with Hot Fudge. The coffee flavor ice cream was yummy. It was rich and creamy. I like this one a lot.
Cherries Jubilee with Strawberry Sundae ($2.99)
I couldn't decide which flavor of ice cream to get. So I let Dr. P pick for me. He got his other favorite flavor, Cherries Jubilee. I picked the topping, my favorite Strawberry. The cherries jubille ice cream tasted just as good as before. But the color was a little strange. I remember it had a very light baby pink color before. But now it had this really artificial bright pink color? I don't like the new color. Maybe they add too much food coloring in this batch?
We paid $3.24 with tax and ate our ice cream at the store. Then some other people came in to get the same sundae for to-go, but they only got charged for $2.99. So I found out that if you eat there, then they tax you. If you get to go, no tax. Next time I'll save money and just get to-go. Dinner + dessert for under $20. Yes, cheap date but good food and great company!
