Since I didn't really had a satisfying lunch at Dumpling House, I kept on thinking about the big red sing I saw outside of Hop Li Seafood Restaurant.  "ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL.  ALL DIM SUM $1.38."  Now that's a great deal.  Dad was feeling tired and wanted to go http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com to take a nap.  So we walked over to Hop Li to get some dim sum to-go.


乾蒸燒賣 Pork Dumpling Shiu Mai ($1.38)

It was 2pm and we ordered 8 items.  After waiting for 15 minutes, a watreiss brought the order out and told us 4 of the items were sold out.  Well, pretty much all the items with more expensive ingredients were sold out.  We didn't want to wait any longer and just settled for the 4 items.

Pork Dumpling Shiu Mai was good, but nothing too special about it.



特製鮮蝦餃 Special Shrimp Har Gow ($1.38)

I don't know what was special about the Special Shrimp Har Gow.  There was nothing special, and it wasn't good.  I didn't like the skin.  It wasn't chewy like how it was supposed to be.  It tasted like it had been sitting there for a long long time.


豉椒蒸排骨 Spareribs with Black Bean Sauce ($1.38)

Spareribs with Black Bean Sauce was good.  I like!


菠蘿奶皇飽 Baked Egg Custard Buns w/ Pineapple Crust ($1.38)

Baked Egg Custard Buns with Pineapple Crust was super delicious!



Crusty sweet coating outside, the bun was soft, the egg custard filling was soft and sweet.  Yum!

The other 4 items we ordered and the didn't have were Steamed Salmon Fish Head, Steamed Shark Fin Dumpling, Seaweed Shrimp Rolls, and Baked BBQ Pork Buns.  So there were some hits and misses.  But the $1.38 per item price was great!  I would go back again to try more items for sure!
