I was too lazy to cook dinner, so Dr. P got take out food for dinner.  I was even too lazy to think about what I wanted, and just asked Dr. P to get anything he wanted.  He decided to try some middle eastern food from House of Kabob.  That reminded us how we use to have Sunnin take out all the time back in Dr. P's old apartment in West LA.

Kabob Barg ($16.99)
Charbroiled of filet mignon marinated in our special sauce.

The boxes felt really heavy.  We opened the box and saw the reason.  Man, they gave you a lot of rice here.  Kabob Barg was made with filet mignon, and it was very tender.  It had a nice grilled + middle eastern spices flavor.  Love the grilled tomatoes.

Chicken Barg ($12.99)
Thick strips of juicy marinated charbroiled boneless chicken breast.

Chicken Barg was made with breast meat, so it tasted a little dry.  As Dr. P put it, "it was screaming for some creamy garlic sauce (like the one Sunnin has)."  I agree.  With some garlic sauce, or even hummus, the chicken would taste much better.  I couldn't get enough of their rice.  At first I thought they gave us too much rice, but then I thought I wished they gave us even more rice.  Love it!

Salad (Shirazi) ($4.99)
Combination of fresh chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, parsley, onion, and our house dressing (olive oil, fresh lemon juice, black pepper).

After watching Food Inc, Dr. P vowed to eat more vegetables everyday.  He ordered a salad for us to share.  It was.... small.  Some chopped cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion for $5?  It tasted good, but not worth the money.

Bread / Butter / Onion

We also got some pita bread, raw onion slices, butter, and lemon.  Their pita bread was really thin, and we were supposed to eat it with butter?

The meal cost about $34.  A little pricey, but the food was pretty good.  Maybe next time we'll go for their lunch special?
