On our way to The Maverick Theater, I saw Sonic Drive In. I saw lots of cars parked right next to the menus in the parking lot. How interesting! We decided to stop by on our way http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com.
It was our first time to a "drive-in". We pulled our car into one of the empty spot.
There you have a menu. Once you are ready to order, just press the red button. And it's still a "line" system. So we had to wait in "line" for a little bit for the girl to take our order.
You can either eat in your car, or grab an outdoor seat.
When your order is ready, girls in roller-blades will bring it up. It was a lot of fun just to watch them.
Dr. P got a burger combo. I wasn't hungry and actually was feeling kinda sick, so I didn't order anything. Dr. P got me a cup of hot hazelnut coffee. It wasn't the kind of coffee I like. The coffee was acidic, and the hazelnut syrup was way too sweet. McDonald's coffee is much better. I didn't try the food, and didn't take a picture of the burger and fries before Dr. P ate it. I guess I'll have to go back again to try it for myself!

I saw this on food network long time ago. I know they have more stores in other states, and I wanted to try it once I saw it. I will definitely go next time when I go to that area.
ReplyDeleteI heard their onion rings are good..but I gotta try it myself to tell...
Sonic was on Food Network? Wow!
I'll try the onion ring next time, too!
I like Sonic. It's not the best food in the world, but it's a fun experience. I like taking the kids there, especially for their drinks. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was definitely a fun experience!
I want to try their milkshake next time!
Ooo. I love Sonic. I've gone ever since I was a kid. Sadly they closed the two closest to me and now the nearest one is an hour away. :( But they have good food for the price!
ReplyDeleteI still have to go back to try the food.
Its so crazy hearing about all of you people that dont have a sonic near you to me. I grew up in Shawnee, Ok (http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com of the first Sonic) and never thought twice about how interesting it really was. To me it was just a neat place to grab a burgur and some cool drinks. We have 4 sonics in our town I think and everywhere I go there usually is a sonic. Maybe its more than a southern thing?
ReplyDeleteLucky you! We don't have that many Sonic around here in Southern Cali.
It was my first time there, and I thought it was so much fun.
I wish we can have more Sonic opening up around here soon.
