On Thursday, dad wanted to take aunt to a shabu shabu restaurant for dinner.  Somehow I didn't feel like shabu shabu, and suggested Boiling Point.  I simply mentioned "stinky tofu" and "spicy", and everyone agreed Boiling Point sounded better than shabu shabu.



There are 7 different hot pot on the menu.




All hot pot are $9.99 for dinner, and $8.99 plus a free drink for lunch.  The hot pot also comes with rice and self served dipping sauces.


海鮮豆腐鍋 Seafood & Tofu Hot Pot ($9.99)

Mom doesn't eat spicy food so she ordered the Seafood & Tofu Hot Pot.  Lots of seafood, veggies, and glass noodle.  I didn't try it, but mom finished every bit of it.


招牌臭臭鍋 House Special Hot Pot ($9.99)

Dad, Aunt and I all got the House Special Hot Pot.  There were stinky tofu (4 big pieces), intestine (my FAVORITE!), fish balls, fish cake, hot dog, tomato, enoki mushroom, and napa cabbage in my hot pot.  Dad had a few bites and agreed this was much better than shabu shabu.  He said he DEFINITELY will come back again.  Aunt kept on asking how come they don't have a restaurant serving this hot pot in San Jose area.  I kept on eating with sweat and running nose (spiciness does that to me...).  I tried.  I really tried.  I finished everything, but couldn't finish the soup.  I was super full and happy when I left the restaurant.  By the way, I LOVE their garlic thick soy dipping sauce.

Next time we'll come back for lunch.  Not only it's $1 cheaper, you also get a free drink!
