Eastern Sierra Route 395

毛象山位在洛杉磯的東北方大約350公哩的地方，需要5小時車程，冬天時是滑雪勝地，夏天則是玩越野腳踏車和爬山釣魚的好地方，這次開車我們走14號接395號公路，沿路風景真的非常漂亮，有山有湖有藍天還不時看到牛啊馬啊的，沿路欣賞美麗的風景，5個小時好像也過得蠻快的耶！

Mammoth Mountain is about 350 miles away from Los Angeles.  We took the 395 Freeway driving northeast for about 5 hours.  In the winter, people go to Mammoth to ski and snowboard.  In the summer, people go for mountain biking, hiking and fishing.



5 hour drive was long.  But it didn't feel that long because the view along Route 395 was beautiful.  I only took very few pictures and they really don't do any justice to the breathtaking view.




There were mountains (lots of them), lakes, farms, open field, abandoned towns, charming little towns, etc.  Just lots of interesting stuffs to look at along the way.



I went to Mammoth once in the winter.  All I remember was snow, snow and snow all the way.  Traveling in the summer down the same road is a complete different view.

Part of the fun on this trip was on the road.  We love driving on Rounte 395.  No traffic, easy to drive, beautiful view.  Usually when we drive long distance, we try to drive fast to get to our destination as soon as possible.  But this time we actually try to drive slow to enjoy the view. 

If you are in the mood for a road trip, definately try Route 395.  You can also stop by at lakes and trout hatchery along the way (we did!).  I had the most enjoyable driving experience on this trip.
