星期六的中午,我跟公園先生一直決定不了要去哪裡吃午餐,從12:30pm居然討論到2:00pm都還沒決定,我們兩個也未免太猶豫不決了吧!結果我隨便提議那去中國城吃飲茶好了,上網查了一下漢宮,發現他們飲茶只到2:30pm,我們開車過去應該會來不及,後來決定還是去中國城,沿路逛的時候看到有什麼就吃什麼吧!
我們走一走看到了這家富臨海鮮酒家,上了二樓問了一下,確認還有飲茶,我們就入座了,看了放在桌上的價目表,這裡的點心跟我們家那邊比起來還不便宜咧!最小點是US$2.18,大點是US$5.38。
餐點是推餐車來讓客人選的,現在洛杉磯有好幾家比較「高級」感覺的飲茶,都是直接點菜的,不過我覺得飲茶還是要有餐車才有感覺,我們觀望了一下這家餐廳,客人清一色都是外國人。
富臨蝦餃皇 House Special Har Gow (5) (US$4.38)
這蝦餃我們點的時候原以為是算小點的普通蝦餃,結果推車媽媽蓋了章以後,才告訴我們這是算大點的特別蝦餃,那特別在那裏呢?原來是裡面加了韭黃,其實我不太喜歡韭黃,所以還寧願吃普通蝦餃就好,多了韭黃就要貴US$2.20,韭黃有這麼貴嗎?
豉汁蒸肉排 Spare Rib with Black Bean Sauce (US$2.18)
豉汁蒸肉排味道很好吃,不過排骨還蠻肥的,下面有切的薄薄的芋頭。
臘味蘿蔔糕 Turnip Cake (US$3.28)
臘味蘿蔔糕是現點現煎的,推車媽媽很認真的在餐車上煎了好久才熱騰騰的送上桌,我覺得蘿蔔糕很好吃,軟軟的,中間還有些小粒的臘肉,不過公園先生似乎不太喜歡,他覺得有點太油。
海鮮帶子餃 Scallop Dumpling (US$3.28)
海鮮帶子餃非常好吃,裡面有滿滿的小干貝,這道是我們兩個這天最喜歡的餐點。
滋潤豆腐花 Sweet Bean Curd (US$2.18)
最後我們點了豆腐花當甜點,這蠻大一碗的,我們用小碗都各吃了兩碗,這不規則形狀的碗看起來實在有些詭異,感覺好像桌子歪了的感覺,他們的豆腐花很滑嫩,湯不是很甜,剛好合公園先生不愛甜的口味。
看了帳單,原來每人還要多加US$0.80的茶錢,這家富臨海鮮的飲茶還不錯吃,只是價錢高了點,在我們家這邊可以吃到便宜又好吃的,所以是不會特別開車到中國城去吃啦!不過如果到那邊逛逛,是可以吃吃點心不錯的地方。
I was at Chinatown looking for a dim sum place, and happened to go to this restaurant too (I guess it's one of the nicer and cleaner looking restaurants there so a lot of Americans ended up there). I didn't check price, thinking it wouldn't be too expensive since it's in Chinatown. It was a mistake! We ended up paying $55 for two of us. I didn't know a plate of vegetable costs $9 because it did not come in the cart, so it was considered "ordered from the menu". It was more expensive than the dim sum we had near UCLA...

So we didn't order much. The food wasn't bad, but wasn't great, either.
I can get much better dim sum cheaper in Monterey Park.
