I got a coupon for a free combo meal from Corner Bakery Cafe for liking their Facebook page.  Nice!  I like free food.  I went there to get my free lunch after grocery shopping at Henry's Farmers Market in the same plaza.


Corner Combo - Sandwich or Panini Combo
Your choice of 1/2 Signature Sandwich or Panini with Caesar Salad, Mixed Greens or Cup of Soup.

I got a 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup Corner Combo.  It also came with pickle and a bag of potato chips.  This combo meal costs about $8.50 I think.  Pretty pricey if you don't have a free coupon like I did.  haha...



Roasted Tomato Basil Soup w/Croutons

The soup I picked was Roasted Tomato Basil Soup with Croutons.  There were big chucks of tomatoes in the soup.  I love it!  It tasted so fresh.


Green Chile & Chicken Grilled Panini
Autumn-roasted green chiles, all-natural roasted chicken, crisp jicama slaw, diced tomatoes and white cheddar cheese with roasted garlic mayo.

For the sandwich, I picked their new grilled panini, Green Chile & Chicken.  I really like the panini bread.  So tasty.  The chicken was soft and tender.  But other than that, there was nothing special about this sandwich.  I thought jicama slaw was supposed to be crunchy.  Either their jicama wasn't crunchy, or I didn't get any of the slaw in my panini, because I didn't get a bit of crunchiness.  I couldn't really taste the roasted garlic mayo, either.  Actually everything was pretty tasteless in the sandwich.  But I still like the bread a lot.

No complaint.  I still enjoyed my free lunch.  Maybe Green Chile & Chicken just wasn't for me.  But I'd go back to try other panini sandwiches and get a bowl of their tasty soup.
