I'm trying to use up food in my pantry and fridge this week. This morning's creation was Tuna Salad Sandwich.
Tuna Salad Sandwich
I don't really know what kind of bread this was. My mother-in-law gave us the bread to take hom. It's airy and chewy in the middle. I cut the bread in middle and stuff it with tuna salad.
Tuna salad was made with 1 can of albacore packed in water, 1 tablespoon sour cream, a left-over pack of honey mustard from Chick-fil-A, some black pepper, and 6 chopped basil leaves. Ideally I would like to add something crunchy in my tuna salad... something like onion, celery, or cucumber. But I didn't have any at http://www.eileenlikestoeat.com. Oh well.... It was still a pretty good tuna sandwich. As long as Dr. P likes it, I'm happy. :-)

It looks like ciabatta bread. You're making me hungry. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I thought it tasted like ciabatta bread too.
The whole bread came in a long and thin piece.
Kinda like French bread long, but thin and flat.
The shape doesn't look like traditional ciabatta bread, but it definitely tasted like one.
I loved this sandwich for breakfast!! Lucky to have a wife who is talented and loves to cook!! :)
ReplyDeleteBetter than your frozen burrito? Better be!
