Walking Around Las Vegas

We had plan to have dinner at the new Aria Casino for dinner. Since it was walking distance from MGM Grand, we parked our car back at the hotel and started walking around Las Vegas toward Aria after lunch.

We saw a Best Buy vending machine in MGM Grand.

You can buy camera, iPod, navigation system, and tons of electronic goods from a vending machine!  How cool is that?!

I was looking at MGM Grand's map, and told Dr. P "let's go to the garden and look at the flowers".  When we got to the Grand "GARDEN" Arena, I was like "huh? Where is the garden and the flowers?"  Duh..... dumb dumb me.

This is one restaurant that I really want to try, Joel Robuchon Restaurant.  I heard there will be a branch opened in Taiwan soon?

13 courses for $385.  I wish I will be rich someday.  For now I'll just read Kevin's blog and drool.

I used to love David Copperfield when I was little.  He is like the superstar magician in Taiwan like 25 years ago.  We called him "David Magic" (大衛魔術) in Taiwanese.  We want to see his show next time we go to Vegas.

MGM Grand has a Lion Habitat with 2 lions (??) in there.  The were sleeping when we went visit.

I really feel sorry for those lions.  Would you like to live in a casino?  I don't think anybody would.  They never get real sun, rain, air, wind, tree, grass, rock... nothing is real.  All they see everyday the shining slot machines and tons of people outside their window.  So sad....

We walked by Centrifuge Bar right outside the Lion Habitat and saw some bartenders dancing on the bar.

There's a bridge that connects MGM Grand and New York New York.  Let's take a picture like proper Asian tourists on the bridge.  Yeah~~~~  Y(^_^)Y

The street was so not busy on Monday.  I've never seen Las Vegas Blvd his empty before.

Lion on one side of the bridge.

Statue of Liberty on the other side of the bridge.

Miniature New York buildings inside New York New York.

The brand new giant City Center.  So pretty.  I just love shining things, and I like shining buildings.

There's the new Aria.  No theme, just shining and pretty.

Aria does not have a parking lot.  Valet parking only.  Or you can park at the nearby Monte Carlos, Bellagio, New York New York, Planet of Hollywood, or MGM Grand and walk over here.

Look at those cakes!  I dragged Dr. P to the dessert shop as soon as I saw the cakes.

It is Jean Philippe Patisserie.  So pretty, but pricey.

Aria is dark and elegant.  Yeah I'd gamble here.... if I'm rich.

Almost time for dinner now....

  2. There is a self parking structure for Aria yo! It's kinda far away from the hotel though.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.
