Our ex-coworker Claire is officially a nurse now. We haven't seen her for 3 months and miss her a lot. So we decide to have monthly get-together. This month we had lunch at Baccali.
Honey with Lemon ($2.75)
I like their honey with lemon with unlimited refill. We all got like 5 refills for the 3 hours we were there. When we left, they even gave us a brand new one in a to-go cup. Good deal!
Baccali Chicken ($5.95)
We ordered a few items to share. This is their signature dish, Baccali chicken. The roasted chicken was tender, juicy and full of flavor. The vegetable was a bit bland. And the spaghetti was soggy. Oh well, at least the chicken was good.
Baked Pork Chop ($6.75)
Baked pork chop was covered with cheese and tomato sauce. You can pick to have it with noodle or rice. We picked spaghetti. I like the mushroom and the cheese. But the pork chop was mostly fat.
Fillet Mignon Cube ($7.95)
The fillet mignon cube was pretty tender. But the sauce that came with it wasn't that good. It was just some kind of salty sweet brown gravy.
Beef Chow Fun ($6.95)
Vi came late and ordered beef chow fun. I didn't have any, but Vi said it was good, just a bit oily.
Baccali still has a big red C rating. The food was just alright. It was quite heavy and oily. But it's a good place to sit for a long time to chat. And the unlimited refill of drink is great.
I had a good time just hanging out and chat with my ex and current coworkers. We'll meet again next month. Hopefully at a much better restaurant!

Woo I love that place!
ReplyDeleteI always order the chicken, so good!
I've been to this place twice before. Their chicken isn't too bad and just like you said, it's a good place to hang out with friends.
