We went out to grab a fast and cheap dinner at Chili's right by our house. The $20 for 2 deal is great, not to mention I bought a $5 for $10 Chili's gift card from SaveMore.com. Now that's a even better deal!


Texas Cheese Fries (Half Order) ($3.99)
With applewood smoked bacon, jalapeños and green onions. Served with ranch dressing.

Texas Cheese Fries is probably my favorite thing from Chili's. I just have to order this EVERY time. The thick cut French fries was still soft in the middle. Lots of melted Cheddar cheese on top. With Ranch dressing dip, it was so yummy.



Chicken Fajitas ($12.29)
Fajita-marinated chicken with grilled onions and peppers.

Dr. P ordered Chicken Fajitas. The chicken was flavorful and tender. We loved the generous amount of guacamole included with the fajitas.


Grilled Shrimp Tacos ($10.97)
Three flour tortillas with Grilled shrimp in a spicy chile-lime sauce, topped with fresh cilantro lime slaw, house-made pico de gallo and sliced avocados.

I ordered Grilled Shrimp Tacos, which was a new item on their menu. One bite and I was hooked. The big shrimp was so delicious with their spicy chili-lime sauce. Avocado, cilantro, tomatoes, onion, cabbage... it was just so good. The beans on the side was very tasty as well.

All that for $15! Delicious bargain meal! Chili's does a really good job with their Mexican food. We thought it was even better than El Torito in Laguna Hills (that one was pretty bad, but the Irvine & Newport ones are great). Chili's is not the type of restaurant I would make a special trip to but it's a great neighborhood restaurant.
