NCL Mexican Riviera Cruise Day 6: Aqua Main Restaurant Dinner

We tried to go out to the deck in the afternoon, but there was no sun. It was so windy and cold. So we stayed in our room and watched DVDs. We LOVE 24! We almost didn't want to stop watching the DVDs to go to dinner.

Carlisle Zinfandel ($15/corkage)

We brought our own Zinfandel to dinner.  Corkage was $15.  Really good red wine.

Marinated Artichoke Hearts

Artichoke hearts was more like an artichoke hearts salad.  It was pretty tasty.

Sauteed Scallops

The sauteed scallops were really small, but good.  What I thought was mashed potato was actually rice cake in the middle.  It was served with a coconut milk sauce.

Chilled Spanish Gazpacho

Dr. P really like gazpacho.  Just as I mentioned before, I don't like it.  Tomato, sweet peppers, and cucumbers.  He enjoyed it.

Chinese Duck Salad

We shared a Chinese duck salad.  Chow mein noodles, coriander and  sweet soy sauce.  Very little duck, but I liked the noodle.

Roast Carved Turkey

The waiter recommended the turkey so Dr. P got it.  It turned out to be surprisingly good.  The chicken was so moist and tender.  Bread and herb stuffing and sweet potatoes were delicious.

Beef Stroganoff

The beef stroganoff wasn't really how I expected it to look like.  It was just egg noodle with stir fried beef with red pepper on top.  Oh with a dollop of sour cream too.  What kind of beef stroganoff is this?  Totally disappointed.  This should be called beef fajita over egg noodle with sour cream.

Warm Strawberry Souffle

I like souffle.  The strawberry souffle wasn't as good as the chocolate one.  But still pretty good.

Mix Berry Sherbet

Every ice cream / sherbet we got was bad.  So I don't know why we just kept on getting them.  The mix berry sherbet wasn't good, but it was the best one so far.

Chocolate Fountain @ Market Cafe

I wasn't satisfied with the dessert and wanted to go to the buffet to see the desserts there.  I got chocolate fountain stuffs back to the room.  This was better than the sherbet.

I also got this dessert because I didn't know what it was.  I took a bite.  It was chewy, kinda like a marshmallow.  But also kinda like jello.  It was weird.  And I didn't like it.

After dinner, we watched some more DVDs and waited for the special midnight event....
