July 2008 Giveaway

最近事情有夠多，七月都要過完了，六月抽獎現在才開獎，真是不好意思，那麼七月抽獎只有四天時間可以參加喔！很刺激吧！那這次要送什麼禮物呢？因為還沒決定所以就很俗氣的叫它「神秘禮物」吧！

I have been super busy this month.  I know it's almost at the end of July.  Sorry for the late announcement of June's lucky winners.  But here they are:

Now for July's giveaway, there are only 4 days to enter.  How exciting!?  haha....  The prize for this month's giveaway is undecided yet.  (Seriously, I've been so busy!)  So let's call it the secret prize.  But trust me, it'll be good.  I will announce the prize when I annouce the winner on 8/1.  (I promise I will announce the winner on time this time!)

So the question for this month is: Out of all the restaurants you tried in July, which one is your favorite?  七月中吃過最好吃的餐廳是哪一家？

    Wow that actually is a tough question. We didn't go out to eat much in July, with the high gas price and everything is going up, we are trying to save. The only places we ate were at QQ and two family gatherings at Chang's Garden and JZ's restaurant. I actually recommended JZ after reading your review, everyone liked it and so much food that 12 of us couldn't finish it. In that case, the answer will be JZ's.


    JZ doesn't have the best food.
    But it's definately great for the price.

    我最近狂愛滷雞腿飯,目前最喜歡的是artesia的海豚灣,分量夠,味道好又不會太鹹,最重要的是不會乾巴巴的. 他們的排骨飯也很棒,有機會的話希望你也試試看.

    7月太熱 女兒受不了炎熱ㄉ天氣 所以都跑不太遠
    加上她很吵 怕去好一點的餐廳會被轟出來 所以.也都沒去什麼新的餐廳了
    不過整個七月吃過 我認為$$花的很值得的大概就是"牛角燒肉" 跟 一家位於Rowland hits 的韓國烤肉"韓國之家"
    這兩家燒肉雖然都推出吃到飽.
    但 牛角的自助BAR 東西不多 so so 而已.肉的種類也只有幾種好吃
    不過"韓國之家"因為是歷經大火又重新開幕.所以服務挺好的 肉的分量也多 價格也比牛角便宜些喔^^


    韓國之家之前也有人推薦過呢
    下次一定要去吃吃看

    七月我吃過最好吃的應該要屬一家在Santa Monica Blvd 上的小店吧。

    [Tokyo Fastfood]

    雖然價錢便宜店面小、可是味道一點都不馬虎、而且廚師是一位板著臉一絲不苟的日本師傅、Cashier也是日本人。

    大推薦他們的炸漢堡排、Chicken Katsu, "大份量"鰻魚飯(真的大到不行）, Tokyo Special, 還有豚骨拉麵。

    對! 在West LA這住了快ㄧ年、只有這家的豚骨拉麵讓我滿意、而且超大碗(快要吃不完)也只要$5.95。


    還不用給小費喔!


    這種價錢在WLA很便宜耶
    那我要趕快跟公園先生講這家

    我也是油價太貴 很少出去爬爬造了內...
    七月份在外面吃的也有限...
    我想新港海鮮酒家算是七月份裏最好吃的囉~

    Since I do eat out alot, I had to look back my pictures and carefully pick one :) Here is the one I like:
    Dodoro Cafe in Alhambra, they serve All kinds of food - pasta, steak, risotto, shabu shabu...etc. I love their risotto, Lasagna and Gratin Penne, hmmmm....ck out my pic!

    I passed by this restaurant and thought it looked good.
    But after reading all the negative reviews on Yelp, I hesitated on trying.

    我剛特地去翻了一下我的記帳本
    發現七月我根本沒吃幾間餐廳 外食多是粗飽型小吃 (可以說是自己的便當好吃嗎)

    七月份很想吃海鮮 某一天去了朋友推薦在Malibu的Reel Inn
    還算ok 但是以美味及娛樂程度來說 我覺得Malibu有更好的選擇 好像不太值得特別開去吃
    因為那趟沒有吃的很滿足 隔天又在另個朋友的推薦下去了downtown 專賣新鮮漁貨的Fisherman's Outlet吃
    嚴格來說不算餐廳 算是漁市場附設的餐飲部
    不過好吃又便宜又新鮮又不遠 還可以順便買海鮮食材
    所以算是我七月的重點享受吧 (不過人多可能要排一下隊)


    我剛特地去查了一下
    Fisherman's Outlet這家還真的很不賴的樣子耶
    改天我也要去試試看

    嗯 七月我也很少出去吃
    不過上星期帶個朋友在pasadena吃一家泰國菜
    我一直都很喜歡它們
    因為便宜阿！！
    很少在Pasadena可以找到這麼平價又好吃的店了

    My favorite restaurant this month is Pho Saigon No 1 Vietnamese Restaurant in my area which is Fairfield, Ca.

    haha~I just came here in late June this time so i have not gone
    too many places so far. Among all the places I've dined at in July,
    Griddle Cafe at Sunset and Fairfax impressed me the most. Their
    breakfast items are of huge portion yet still very delicious. A full
    stack of pancakes can fill up 3 people i guess. In spite of the crowd
    on weekends, it is one of my favortite brunch spot in LA.


    I've been wanting to try Griddle Cafe forever, but just never did.
    I passed by it a few times on weekend and always see lots of people waiting outside.
    Hopefully I'll get to try it soon.

    我要推薦的是”杏子豬排”
    這是一家來自日本九州的專業豬排飯
    喜歡正統炸豬排的我算算吃過很多家”名店”
    知多家　晃士家　勝博殿等等
    自從一年前吃到”杏子”之後
    我就再也不愛去別家店了

    先說他們的服務超級好　
    如果店外等位　不時會有店員出來為大家倒茶收茶杯並感謝你耐心等待　在店內　從不會因為想多作點生意趕人是基本之外　店員走動很勤　會幫你倒掉溫涼的茶水重新倒上一杯新茶　每次上菜收盤動作都很輕不會有用餐被打斷的感覺

    餐點更是不用講了　
    無論幾人入座　每桌附贈一盅超美味的醃蘿蔔絲　
    他們提供的生菜+高麗菜絲是吃到飽現點現切　還有兩種沾醬　棕色的是柚子醋味　白色的是紫蘇沙拉（全台北只有這家有～無敵好吃！！）
    主菜的各式豬排料理　無論是基本款的里脊或腰內豬排　或是變化款的三星蔥花蘿蔔泥（料在豬排上鋪得很滿但竟然麵衣還是很脆喔）　蒜泥蔥花蘿蔔泥　鍋燒　超厚切　還是搭配了炸蝦或是蔬菜捲的組合豬排餐　通通好吃到想大哭
    另外他們的飯有五穀米和日本白米兩種　搭配口味清淡白蘿蔔和小黃瓜　也是吃到飽　大胃王也別怕會吃不飽
    味增湯也永遠有兩種口味　蔬菜　或是蛤蜊（有時會換成豚肉）　非常好喝　跟一般豬排店裡喝到的那種即溶速食口味完全不一樣

    到這裡為止已經不得了的好吃了　但是如果想來個甜點
    只要加六十元就會附上甜點和飲料　值得一提的是這裡的甜點絕非隨便拿來應付客人之流　他們會定期更換甜點菜色　比如說最近是香濃的白色咖啡奶酪　豆奶布丁　杏仁豆腐　哇沙比冰淇淋　海鹽冰淇淋　印象中就是五六種之中擇一　再附上咖啡或茶或可爾必斯擇一　這樣才六十元！（驚！）

    再交代一下位置　捷運科技大樓站出站左手邊走一分鐘　在和平東路和復興南路口左右　大眾交通方便　旁邊也有一個機械停車場

    （講著講著我也餓了）

    7月試到最好吃的就是Boudin SF Bakery!
    它們的麵包好好吃喔, clam chowder超好喝的, 就連pastry也是一個棒, 大推薦!


    你們又跑回去吃啦
    還有買一送一真划算呢

    I would have to say the new fusion resturant called Dodoro too. It is located at New Ave/Valley Blvd corner.
    Their interior design gives out a relaxing, but romatic feel. I always went with my girlfriend =].
    Their tes drinks are serve in a tall milk bottle shaped glass. Their foos slushes are yummy.
    I tried their Milk hot pot, it was really good- it have a good amount of meat, and surprisingly about 8 different kinds of vegetable and mushroom to go with it. Is enough to share with two people.
    Another dish i tried, is the smoke salmon linguine, OMG is so creamy and perfect blend of salmon, mushroom, and the little pea shape herb? that always goes with smoked salmon.
    Anyway, Eileen you should try it out with Mr. Park. =]


    I wanted to try Dodoro before.
    But their review on Yelp was horrible. I wonder what happened?

    Crap, i'm too late but.. since not a lot of Taiwanese ppl are actually into authentic Thai food (my Taipei cousin just left 2 weeks ago and officially denounced all Taiwan-Thai food to be absolutely fake up to this point in his life)... My winner:
